Random Review: Axeman at Cutters Creek (2013)

Nine vacationing twenty-somethings are hunted by an axe-wielding local legend.

Writer/Director Joston Theney presents an homage to all the classic B slashers in true indy form with The Axeman. Sadly the acting falls flat, with the notable exception of the robbers at the beginning of the film, and Scot Pollard (Survivor TV Series) is the perfect axe wielding murderer. Elissa Dowling (We Are Still Here) is also a familiar face. The sub plots are confusing and are only there for fluff, but I disagree with most critics that the legend of the axeman needs more back story. I like my villains to be big question marks that just like to kill. The Axeman is still worthy while binge watching your favorite slashers. Now available on all media platforms.
