On this day in horror history.... the only 'Friday the 13th' film I was able to see in the theaters, 'Jason X' is released. One of the originators of the idea to launch a floundering franchise into space. 'Jason X' took a proven formula and moved it to uncharted waters. Sadly, the experiment didn't really work to well, but it gave way for several other franchises to do the same. It put a nail, almost, into the coffin of Jason, but he still keeps coming back.
