Demons (2017) Review by William Mayfield

I have to admit that when I started Demons I thought I was in for yet another exorcist film. Family, priest, demon, rinse and repeat. Well, I was very wrong. The story is about Kayleigh, a young woman that is getting over the death of her sister Jewel from years before. The sisters grew up on a farm in rural Louisiana to very religious parents.

Andrew Divoff of Wishmaster fame plays Jasper Grant, the girl's father, and uses his years of character work to his fullest for a very creepy performance. The films writer and director Miles Doleac plays Colin, the priest sent to investigate Jewels case. The story jumps forward to find Colin and Kayleigh have a child and are trying to get over the events of the Jewels death years before. This movie has a lot going for it. Great story, awesome acting, and the cinematography is very pleasing to the eyes. This movie does jump back and forth from past to present but its done in a great way. So do your self a favor and check out this film. I give Demons a solid 8 out of 10.
