When three English archaeologists find the tomb of an Egyptian high priestess -- buried nearly four thousand years before -- they discover a guard who had been buried alive with her. Rising in anger, the Mummy sets out to destroy the despoilers of the tomb of the sacred princess.
Creepercast Presents a Terror Time Out features a video from an iconic film.
"Look - the scared spells which protect the soul in its journey to the underworld have been chipped off the coffin. So Imhotep was sentenced to death not only in this world but in the next."
Masked metal supergroup TERROR UNIVERSAL recently released their debut full-length album, Make Them Bleed, via minus HEAD Records. Today, the band is "thrilled" to reveal their brand new slasher flick-inspired track for the song "Through the Mirrors" via premier horror site Dread Central. The video is directed by vocalist PLAGUE via Film/Facer productions. Watch here:
Drummer MASSACRE tells Dread Central: "I am very pumped to be releasing the "Through the Mirrors" video, as this track is one of my favorite songs on our new album, Make Them Bleed. This song showcases many of TERROR UNIVERSAL's diverse sounds, as it's brutally heavy and also has a very anthemic and memorable chorus."
Vocalist and video director PLAGUE adds: "As a director, I was given the freedom to give my visual interpretation of what the song meant to me personally. The inner self that tortures the outer self into being something different no matter the cost. Now mix a twist of insanity into the recipe and you get the "Through the Mirrors" official TERROR UNIVERSAL music video."
While online, check out TERROR UNIVERSAL's other "horrific" music video for "Dig You A Hole", also directed by PLAGUE:
In its first week, Make Them Bleed debuted at #8 on the iTunes Metal chart, as well as #13 on the Billboard New Artist chart, #17 on the Billboard Hard Music chart, and #165 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart (spent three weeks on Heatseekers)! In addition, the album landed at #3 on Metal Contraband's Most Added chart (#11 overall debut), in addition to #27 on the NACC Loud Rock chart. Stream Make Them Bleed in full via Spotify here, or order it via Bandcamp, Amazon, or iTunes.
Make Them Bleed was produced by members the band, and mixed by Eddie Wohl (Smile Empty Soul, Fuel, Ill Niño, 36Crazyfists).On Make Them Bleed, TERROR UNIVERSAL snap from moments of intense sonic bloodletting into menacing melodic mayhem before creeping back into the shadows to do it all over again - like the musical equivalent of a slasher film. In addition to the seasoned musicians of TERROR UNIVERSAL, Make Them Bleed features the talents of guest bassists John Moyer (Disturbed, Art of Anarchy, ex-Adrenaline Mob) and Tony Campos (Fear Factory, Ministry, Soulfly, Static-X). Campos appears on the track "Dead On Arrival", and Moyer appears on "Spines".
About TERROR UNIVERSAL:
TERROR UNIVERSAL's masked marauders - who are also current and former members of hard rock and metal royalty such as Machine Head, Ill Niño, Soulfly, and Upon A Burning Body - began stalking the senses in 2014, releasing the Reign of Terror EP a year later and eventually sharing the stage alongside heavy hitters including Korn, Asking Alexandria, HELLYEAH, Papa Roach, Fear Factory, Incite, and more around the globe. 2017 saw them ink a deal with minus HEAD Records and prepare Make Them Bleed for mass consumption - spurned by a re-issued first single "Welcome To Hell".

Slipknot meets Five Finger Death Punch in this murderous video by Terror Universal.
While a handful of notable entries (The Evil Dead, Friday the 13th, Saw, Alien/Predator) have been released over the years, one area where popular horror franchises never seem to get enough love is the world of video games. Sure, there are lots of original horror games made, but rarely does a notable genre film property get successfully translated over to the interactive realm.
Indie developers are working on a Psycho related game, albeit in an unofficial fashion. Entitled Gates Motel, the game is currently in a pre-alpha state, and thus has a long way to go before it’s done. Still, the idea sounds quite appealing.
“The game puts players in a motel off the main road, where they will play as a woman who has to confront two kinds of nightmares: The owner of the establishment as well as her own, deep, dark fears. Your job is to avoid the same fate previous tenants had to suffer while making your way to the telephone to notify local authorities and be rescued. Akin to traditional survival horror games, you will have to use your inventory and your cunning to solve various puzzles as you find your way through the motel. Survive the night, face your fears, live to see another day or perish.
Are you ready?”
