On this day in horror history.... May 9th, 1980

On this day in horror history.... The world became afraid of camping in the woods, along with having unprotected sex, as 'Friday the 13th' (1980) is released theatrically. The brainchild of Sean S. Cunningham, this took what Hitchcock did with 'Psycho' and transplanted it into a summer camp setting. Spawning sequels and a remake, along with so much more.... Jason Voorhees is truly the killer that will never die. However, this is where it all began, with his mother and a desire for revenge.
